Dave Azad is Managing Director of Galen Partners, a venture capital investment firm focused on the healthcare industry. He leads growth equity investments and acquisition of companies in the diagnostics and instrumentation, healthcare services, information technology, and specialty pharmaceutical sectors. He serves on the Board of Directors of Acura Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: ACUR), Nautilus Neurosciences, Quotient BioDiagnostics Holdings, and Unisyn Medical Technologies. Past board involvement includes CBLPath (acquired by Sonic Healthcare Limited).
Prior to joining Galen in 2006, Mr. Azad was an Associate Principal with McKinsey & Company, where he advised healthcare insurance, healthcare services, information technology, and pharmaceutical and medical products companies on matters involving corporate strategy, licensing and acquisitions, and performance improvement initiatives. He began his career as an attorney with Latham & Watkins.
